Dance Recital

Kiara had a dance recital this last weekend. Here she is all ready to go. She was really excited because she got to wear makeup again. She did 2 dances. One was to Boot Scootin' Boogie, (see cowboy hat pic below) and the other was to the Lollipop song. She got to use pom poms for that one and has now decided she wants to be a cheerleader and the other day she told me that she would cheer for Aidan when he plays football. Sounds like a plan to me :)

Carrots

So, here's the question of the day. Which one is which? One is Aidan eating carrots and one is Rowan eating carrots. Can you tell?

Tractor Ride

A couple of weekends ago our weeds were really getting out of control, so Shane borrowed a tractor and scraper from my dad and took care of them. Aidan was really excited to get to ride the tractor with his dad.

It didn't take him long to do the front yard, but the back yard took a while. You can see just how high our weeds were getting. Thank goodness we had access to the tractor or else this would have taken us forever to clean up.

When Shane first brought the tractor over Kiara told me "princesses don't ride tractors" and didn't want a ride. After watching Aidan for about half an hour she finally changed her mind. I guess princesses ride tractors after all.

Aidan's 3!

Aidan is now 3 years old. He had a good birthday watching SpongeBob, playing in the rain and mud and eating lots of cake. We got him a 3 car racetrack and his grandma got him a lowrider that has its own hydraulics and bounces just like a real one. He thinks it is great. My grandma and grandpa got him a dumptruck to play with outside. It is already covered in mud.

Blowing out candles on his "Mack" cake. He wanted a cake that looked like Mack from the movie Cars, and this is what I came up with. He was very excited. Everyone ate the cupcake wheels first. I used a loaf pan to make the trailer. I was glad it turned out so well and he was happy.
